Follow the steps below to apply for federal aid via the FAFSA.

完成FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the federal government’s application to determine financial aid eligibility for most types of financial aid. Applications can be filled out online. You will need to fill out a FAFSA each year in order to renew your financial aid.

  1. 注册你的FSA ID

    This is a secure way to confirm your identity and sign your FAFSA electronically. Both the student and the parent will need an FSA ID (if the student is considered a dependent). You will use the same FSA ID each year to complete the application.

  2. Complete and submit your FAFSA

    Login using your student FSA ID username and password. Be sure to list pp电子极速糖果 in order for us to receive your information. 我们学校的代码是001358.

Check if you were selected for verification

If you were NOT selected for verification proceed to 步骤3

In some cases, a student’s FAFSA may be selected for verification by the US Department of Education. Go to MAVzone to check if you were selected for verification.

  1. Login to MAVzone and go to “My Tasks”

    Look for the 金融援助 in your tasks. Click to see requirements outstanding for 金融援助. If you were selected for verification, it will be listed here. Click on the task item and complete the required form for the verification process.

Review and accept your financial aid offer

Now that your FAFSA is processed, you will receive an offer from the 金融援助 office.

If no other documentation is requested, first time students will receive an offer letter or email in addition to being able to view their offer online. 返回的学生 will view their offer online.

NOTE: The calculation for the financial aid offer is complete and correct, based on the information you provided in your FAFSA. 金融援助 offer may be subject to change due to changes in your financial, 学术, enrollment status and/or changes in the availability of funds.

  1. 查看您的报价

    Click the “Award Offer” tab to see the financial aid being offered to you.

  2. 接受经济援助

    On the "Award Offer" tab scroll to your offer to accept a full or partial amounts.

  3. 接受条款和条件

    You must agree to CMU’s terms and conditions to receive financial aid. After accepting an award you will be asked to accept terms and conditions.

  4. Are you accepting federal student loans? Do you want to apply for a PLUS or Private Loan?
